Wildlife Photography: Japan Wildlife Photographs

Japan does not come immediately to mind as a country to visit to photograph wildlife: huge overpopulated, sprawling cities, vast industrial complexes and every piece of available land under the plough for rice production. But these impressions are misleading for large areas of Japan are unspoiled and there are some very special opportunities for the wildlife photographer
This gallery shows just a few of the images I took on a recent trip to Japan in February: Japanese Cranes and Steller's and White-tailed Sea-eagles in Hokkaido and the unique Japanese Snow Monkeys at Jigokudani Hot Springs in the Japanese Alps
